Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a top immigration pathway for temporary foreign workers and international graduates seeking permanent residence in Canada.
Why Choose the CEC?
- Federal and Provincial Support: Joint efforts to attract skilled workers and students to Canada’s workforce.
- Canadian Work Experience Advantage: Applicants with Canadian work permits integrate more smoothly into the job market.
- Higher CRS Points: CEC applicants get more points in the Express Entry system, increasing their chances of permanent residence.
- Fast Processing: Successful applicants often receive permanent residence within six months.
- No Settlement Funds Required: Unlike other Express Entry programs, CEC does not require proof of settlement funds.
Eligibility Requirements
- Work Experience: At least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years.
- Skilled Work Categories: TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
- Language Proficiency: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 for TEER 0 or 1 jobs, and level 5 for TEER 2 or 3 jobs.
- Temporary Resident Status: Experience must be gained while legally working in Canada.
